Flick TT League
The Flick TT League is a ranked league with an Elo-based rating system. Started in 2025, the league hosts regular 2-hour matching sessions on Fridays and Sundays that players of this league can join for free! Once you join the league, you will be assigned a rating. You will be matched randomly against others in a matching session and you play as many matches as you can within the 2 hours! Winning will gain you points, losing will cost you points. Want to play some proper matches in a fun and casual environment? Here's your chance to do just that!
The league is run in three-month seasons. At the end of each season, players will be rewarded for being the best in their division, and awards will also be given for a number of random categories! Maybe you'll get a reward for playing the most matches, or maybe for the most improved rating, or maybe even for the most games lost. Play and find out!

FAQ
How is Season 2 different from Season 1?

Season 2 will have several changes from Season 1.

Estimated Ratings - New players will no longer join with a 1500 rating. Instead, they will join as unrated players. Unrated players will receive an estimated rating after playing against at least 5 rated players with at least 1 win. The exact way the rating is calculated is in the League Rules.

Closed Sessions - Season 1 only had Open Sessions, but Season 2 will have Closed Sessions, where only players within a certain rating range will be allowed to attend. This range changes per session and will be announced at least a week ahead of time.

Divisions - Divisions are introduced into Season 2. Players are placed into divisions based on their rating last season, or their estimated rating if they are new players. Currently the divisions are: Division I if they have a rating above 1480, and Division II if they have a rating below 1480. This is fixed for the whole season. At the end of the season, prizes are given to the top 3 players of each division.

What is a Matching Session?

A matching session is a 2-hour session where you will play as many best-of-5 matches as possible within the time period. There are two types of matching sessions:

Open - Any players, including unrated players, are allowed to join.
Closed - Only players within a certain rating range are allowed to join.

Matching sessions are free to attend for all league players.

Can I choose my opponents in the matching session?

No. You will be assigned random opponents to play with in the session.

Do I need to attend every single matching session?

Absolutely not! You can attend as many session as you want. However, do note that if you want to receive a ranking, you need to attend at least 3 matching sessions in a season (roughly 1 session per month).

Is there a limit on how many matching sessions I can attend?

Not at the moment. You can attend as many sessions as you want. However, if matching sessions are full, players who have attended a high number of sessions might be asked to give their spot to players who have attended less sessions.

What is an Elo-Based Rating?

A Rating is a number that you will receive which indicates your skill level in comparison to other players in the league. The higher your rating is, the better you are compared to other players.
When you win a match, you will gain a number of rating points from your opponent. The number of points gained depends on both of your ratings. If your rating is higher than your opponent, you will gain less points (since you are more likely to win). Each match only results in Win/Lose; the scoring of the match itself does not affect the number of points you gain.

For example, player A has a rating of 1800, player B has a rating of 1600. If A wins in a match, A will get 10 points and B will lose 10 points. However, if B wins in a match, since he has a lower rating, B will get 30 points and B will lose 30 points.

Is the Flick TT League rating equivalent to ratings in other leagues?

No. Elo-based ratings only reflect your skill level within that league. The rating you have in Flick TT League cannot be compared to rating you receive in other leagues.
